Has anyone ever had an idea for a film or a scene and later find it in another film.
A few years ago I had an idea for a scene where the hitman breaks into a room and is just about to kill the man, when the man suddenly gets a heart attack and dies from the shock. When I saw this in Ghost Dog,I became slightly paranoid that someone is taking ideas from my head, but then I realised that statistically, at least 2 people out of 7 billion people on this earth are bound to have the same idea.
The moral to this story is, express your ideas quickly, before someone else has them.
I have an idea for a short film about Zombies who go to court to sue a couple of undertakers.(I hope no one steals this idea)

99.999999% of ideas have already been done. Unless your lucky enough to have that .000001 idea then all you can hope for is to not rip anything off too badly.

Thousanth- i disagree completely. It's acctually soemthing like .00000001% of ideas have been done.
There are SO many storys and ideas that have never been thought of yet. How can you say that 99.999999% have already been done? That's ridiculous.
My best friend said to me that music has reached it's limit. He said it's impossible to create another type of music. I told him that Radiohead's Amnesiac and Bjork's Vespertine, both came out this year, are in my opinion a new genre of music. I don't even know what to call it. Amnesiac is undescribable. Both the albums are really original and the stuff that's on them has never been done by humans before.
Remember ladies and gentlemen that we use only about 12% of our brain. There is no such thing as running out of ideas. No such thing.

Thats because 'they' have a large machine with a TV screen and a big antenna on it called a morphogenic transfigurator that picks up thoughts from around the world and displays them on the screen.
This way 'they' can ensure that 'they' are in touch with current trends and themes, so that you see what you want or expect to see.

There was a really cewl documentary a few years back about running out of music, they went into the maths behind it. and theres only somethign like 15 billion different possibililities eek !
pop trivia, 90% of the music since 1960 that has hit number 1 has been a 4/4 beat.
Also there are only 7 stories in the world !
and when you start thinking baout it good ideas are hard to find ehnce why you should go to your upmost to protect yours
